I just tuned in to Norman Geras's appearance on Radio 4's The Message. If I'd been in his shoes, I'd have found it hard to stay polite in the face of Jenni Murray's peculiarly smug and uninformed line of questioning. Chortle, chortle, who are these strange people doing this Internet thingy...? You'll have noticed there was no attempt to give listeners an idea of how and why blogging has moved from vanity publishing to serious journalism. And this, remember, from a programme devoted to media issues. Weird....
