I loved the weary, cynical note in BBC reporter Matt Frei's voice just now as he previewed the State of the Union adddress. Does he give Dubya any credit for the Iraq poll turn-out? Yes, sort of.
I guess last Sunday's elections seem like vindication to him.
It looks innocuous in print, but if there'd been sub-titles, they'd have said: "The Texas jackass is still living in a dream world." Grover Norquist popped up a moment later to champion the Social Security reforms. This is the big one, he argues: "People will not be able to spell Iraq fifty years from now." We'll see.
