FAREWELL TO WASHINGTON

A long, long time ago, back in the days when Harold Hobson was drama critic of The Sunday Times, it was said that a traditional feature of a British Sunday morning was the sound of Hobson barking up the wrong tree. That thought always comes to mind whenever I see Newsnight's Washington correspondent, Tom Carver. Sadly, he is now moving on, so I'll have to find someone else to shout at.
