Desperately in need of light relief these past couple of weeks, I've been trawling through the long-awaited Seinfeld DVD sets (series 1-3). I should have a Times feature running on this soon. [UPDATE You should be able to access it here.] My editor's request for a list of all-time greatest moments has set me wondering: is the "Not that there's anything wrong with it?" episode funnier than Kramer's attempt to turn himself into Merv Griffin? What a dilemma. (If you don't have any idea what I'm talking about, I recommend that you become acquainted with the most inventive sitcom of modern times.)
UPDATE: While we're on the subject of comic genius, I'd like to point out that Rich Hall's magnificent alter-ego, the singing jailbird, Otis Lee Crenshaw, will be playing a one-night stand at London's Comedy Store on Monday Nov 8th.
