IRAQ IN FIGURES

Michael O'Hanlon and Adriana Lins de Albequerque have published another of their progress charts in the New York Times. They're not remotely starry-eyed, but here are two statistics worth bearing in mind: 65 per cent of Iraqis are still optimistic about the future; 85 per cent say they intend to vote in the elections.
